This Sunday we cast off from Almerimar and started our further journey up the Spanish coast.
Initially the weather was very nice with winds around 3-5 on Beaufort scale so we were able to sail along pretty comfortably with the help of our new ‘crew member’, wind vane self-steer, ‘Monitor’.

However, towards the evening the wind strengthen to about 7 with gusts hitting up to 30 knts. After reefing our sails we decided to find a nice anchorage spot to spend this night. We dropped our anchor at Las Negras bay. Nice, small village without this ever present over-development which one can see all along the Spanish coast of Mediterranean.
