On May 8, 2022 we left Bocas del Toro for a short one day passage to Colón which is an important Panamanian seaport town at the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal. There’s also a boatyard and a marina located at the old US military installation from the time that the US owned the Panama Canal Zone. We docked there on the morning of the next day.
On May 19th, we left Panama for New York as a stopover before continuing on to Warsaw to attend our 50th year high school reunion.
In New York, we spent a few fun-filled days while visiting with our daughter, Eva.

On May 25th, we departed New York for Warsaw with a Lisbon layover on the way. When we arrived in Lisbon, there was a colossal back up at the Portuguese Immigration at the Humberto Delgado Airport!
Two hour wait and we missed our connecting flight to Warsaw!
The silver lining of this missed connection was that we got to stay overnight in Lisbon, compliments of our airline.
The next morning, before our flight, we treated ourselves to our favorite Portuguese delicacy, ‘Pastéis de nata’!
At last, we reached Warsaw to some nice May weather on May 27, 2022.
