{"id":624,"date":"2015-06-21T09:47:07","date_gmt":"2015-06-21T14:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jemmofthesea.thelaskowskis.com\/?p=624"},"modified":"2015-06-21T09:47:07","modified_gmt":"2015-06-21T14:47:07","slug":"broken-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jemmofthesea.thelaskowskis.com\/?p=624","title":{"rendered":"Broken down :-("},"content":{"rendered":"<p>:Last night, while motorsailing to our next anchorage at Puenta de Espato all of sudden my transmission started to slip.At first I was thinking I got a fouled propeller as we were just passing some net&#8217;s floaters.\u00a0 Since it was going for a few more moments I stopped the engine. Pulling the transmission dipstick revealed thick pink foam instead of clear oil. I guess my transmission oil cooler\u00a0 had sprung a leak so sea water got into the oil.<\/p>\n<p>At that time I&#8217;d decided to turn around and head to Torrevieja where we were able to get a berth at Real Club Nautico.<\/p>\n<p>Now I have to either find a mechanic or a replacement cooler, whichever comes quicker and swap it.
