After our first gale experience on the boat, we reached Mahon, Menorca. As its name implies, it’s the smaller of two main Balearic Islands. At the same time, it’s a great place to visit and enjoy the archipelago as it is far less crowded and touristy than its sister island of Mallorca. Being there in September was a wonderful experience as it was really quiet and inviting. <\/p>\n

Marina Mah\u00f3n, where we docked, turned out to be very hospitable with decent facilities for live-a-boarders and not being overly expensive. We arrived there to asses the recent storm damages to the boat and to get some respite after our gale passage. <\/p>\n

We found some unique and tasty local food along with a good selection of local wines. <\/p>\n
