On February 21, 2020, we dropped our anchor off of the Gustavia Marina. The pleasure boat harbor there and all outlaying bays and bights are always crowded with boats of all different types and sizes. The main basin is packed with a multitude of super-yachts as St. Bart and Gustavia is the place to see and be seen. We had no choice but to anchor pretty far off so it was a long journey to get to the marina office, which serves as Immigration and Customs.<\/p>\n

I launched my trusty dinghy to get to the marina office to clear in and pay for anchorage. Once processed, I was free to venture into the Gustavia town and roam around. It seemed to be a nice but somewhat busy place with a plethora of upscale boutiques and restaurants but not many supermarket or bakeries. Still, I was able to locate some markets and re-provision my vessel.<\/p>\n

ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderOn the morning of February 22, we left Gustavia and sailed toward the Northern tip of St. Barts where Anse de Colombier, a very nice bay with a great anchorage, is located. It was somewhat crowded which is usually the case there most of the season.
